Jackie'a Top Ten Siblings

So a thing that I really don't see done that well in most media are siblings. I mean the protagonist us either a lonely child or brothers and sisters are portrayed as natural born enemies who's sole purpose is to make that person's life a living hell. However, at times they made siblings that I tend to like. I chose siblings from TV shows, movies and video games. Also I chose this both by how much I like the characters AND how much I like their relationship together. Oh and I'm not a otaku. So I don't want any comments demanding anime. With all that said though, lets a go!

10: Bart and Lisa (The Simpsons)
Now I put them kinda low because they're mostly at each other's throats. However, there are times when their connection is genuine and they really look out for one another. Too bad some episodes seem to stretch out their rivalry too far and Maud it too mean spirited. *cough cough* Lisa On Ice *cough cough*

9: Anne and Elsa (Frozen)
Haters to the side, cause Frozen's on this list. Anna and Elsa were really close as younger girls, but due to an accident, Elsa is afraid of hurting her sister again. I thought this was like an example of, "I'm doing this for your own good," and I kind of hate those things, but it's more like, "I'm doing this because I don't know any better." Elsa is very serious on the matter of her magic but Anna dosen't see a problem with it, though Elsa is too wrapped up in her own fears and insecurities to notice, she thinks she's just a threat, yet Anna continues to try to convince her otherwise. It's sweet.

8: Lilo and Nani (Lilo and Stitch)
This is Disney's best sibling relationship thus far. A lot of Disney protagonists don't seem to have siblings, kinda adds to their "lonely" and "misunderstood" nature. However, this movie showed us two sisters and by science was it magical. I kinda wish they cropped sons of the alien plot just to concentrate on these two because it's beautiful. Nani is strict, but that's only because their parents died (huge shocker) and it's up to her to keep everything standing. Lilo can be reckless and violent, but she still shows support fir her sister. They fight, but in the end it dosen't matter, because they'll still be there for each other.

7: Cilan, Chille and Cress (Pokémon)
Going to be honest. When asked about sibling characters in Pokemon, must say Max or Clemont, but honestly, I go to Unova on this one and pick these three gym leaders. Also, Cilan is my favourite out of all the humans in Pokémon so I had to put him and his brothers here. Suck it genwunners!

6: Dipper and Mabel (Gravity Falls)
As I'm writing this, I've only seen a few episodes of the show. Though he reason I want to look more into it is mainly to do with the relationship these two have. I'll be looking forward to seeing more into it.

5: Sweetie Belle and Rarity (MLP: FIM)
Behold! The most realistic pair of sisters in current television! I mean, I have sisters myself so I can say that this is one of the closest things to a real sibling relationship in cartoons today. Most big sisters are show on TV as snobby, bossy and only see their sister as an embarrassment. However, Rarity is different. She's a business mare so she barely has time for her younger sister's antics, but she really does care about Sweetie Belle, I mean just watch Sisterhooves Social, regardless if you like the show or not. However, PLOT TWIST! They aren't my favourite MLP siblings.

4: Apple Bloom and Big Macintosh (MLP: FIM)
Yeah, I can add more than one from each show, nobody said I couldn't. Another thing that current cartoons fuck up are the concept of older brothers. I've always wanted, and still want an older brother (I have an older cousin so that's close I guess). Yet in these shows, especially at shows aimed at girls, older brothers are all life ruining demons with less of a soul than Chara, okay that was an exaggeration, less of a soul than Mal. However, Big Macintosh is an older brother that wants nothing more but his little sister's appreciation. Heck, in an episode, he dressed up as a mare just so he could enter the sisterhooves social, but to make her happy. Watch Brotherhooves Social, now!

3: Jay and Mickey (Total Drama: The Ridonculous Race)
Am I biased? Maybe, but who cares, I put the twins on this list! Jay and Mickey, for those that don't know, are twins that are always facing adversity. They have a ton of allergies and a shit ton on bad luck. However, I still love them, they're cute and they can be really optimistic and they try their best and are there for each other. I was hoping to see them go far until SOMEBODY had to ruin it… *glares at Emma*

2: Mario and Luigi (Mario franchise)
What have these two not been through together? For over thirty years, Mario has been around and for almost as long has his brother Luigi. They're always there for each other and have each other's back. Luigi is probably one of the most selfless characters in video gaming history. Always helping Mario even when he never gets any recognition for it and it dosen't even benefit himself. Then he saves Mario a fair amount of times, I can watch that cutscene from the end of Luigi's Mansion all day and it makes me smile. These two are just the classic pairing when it comes to iconic siblings, strange that the only ones to beat them came from a recent game.

1: Sans and Papyrus (Undertale)
Yes, the Mario bros were outclasses by two skeletons. I don't care what you think. These two are without a doubt my favourite part of this game. They're so memorable in their own way. Sans is laid back and lazy while Papyrus is energetic, loud and not very bright. Whenever there's a part with them in it I cannot help but be happy (except when you have to kill them in Genocide Run, fuck that I cry every time!) because they are both just hilarious. Sans also really cares about his brother too, he can joke a lot about him but he'd never want anything bad to happen to Papyrus. Is this game overrated? Maybe. Is it overrated for right reasons? Absolutely!
